About Kareen Hudson MSW, RSW
As a Registered Social Worker, Kareen has spent over 35 years helping
children, youth and families overcome life's challenges. She's guided
in this work by a deep level of caring, compassion and belief in a
person's ability to heal, grow and become their best self possible.

Kareen has worked extensively to develop therapeutic programs for
children and youth affected by a broad range of issues including
family violence, grief and loss, divorce and separation, resettlement, and school related problems such as bullying, social isolation and acting out or high risk behaviours. Bilingual and fluent in Spanish, she has also provided specialized counselling for spanish speaking children and newcomber and refugee families in Vancouver. Most recently Kareen worked with a team of counselors to develop the RSVP Program, an award winning and widely utilized Social Emotional Learning program for students in Vancouver schools.
Kareen completed her Bachelor and Master of Social Work Degrees at UBC and since then has dedicated her career to advancing her knowledge, skills and experience in therapeutic practices that help children, youth and families reach their fullest potential. Her greatest joys include parenting her wonderfully spirited daughter as well as gaining wisdom from the amazing people she's met while travelling the world.
Kareen's passion for helping children, youth and families to thrive, despite roadblocks they encounter in their lives, is what has lead her to create Seedlings Child and Youth Counselling and Consulting.
